First Lady Leslie Johnson has been a devout Christian since early childhood. She was married to the Pastor and Founder of New Life Church in December 2007.
Devoted to the vision of the ministry, she assists her husband with a variety of duties to assure that his God-given mandate is carried out. She has the same emphasis in ministering as her husband and Pastor, which is incorporating all people into the present and coming Kingdom of God; with a strong emphasis on teaching, praying, facilitating and coordinating seminars.
First Lady Leslie Johnson is the founder and director of “Daughters of the King”, a Christian Mentoring Ministry for Girls (ages 6-18) that was founded in 2003 and birthed in 2004. When she reads Psalm 78:1-8 a passion raises up inside her. She passionately encourages and supports the Daughters of the King to fulfill the purpose of God in their lives. Her teachings inspire and challenge the young ladies to develop a strong relationship with God, each other and with their families. The Daughters of the King are being equipped to effectively respond to the burdens and dreams that God has placed in their hearts.
She is also director of Women in “Pursuit of God”, the women’s ministry of New Life Church. In this ministry she aims to equip the Women of God for the work of service by helping them to gain a firm foundation in the faith – in the Word of God, in relationship with God and in the practice of a life lived for God. This ministry challenges each woman to seek maximum effectiveness in their service to God and to serve with excellence.
First Lady Johnson is a humble servant with an unwavering commitment to declare the whole counsel of God. She has the heart of a worshiper and is dedicated to effectual and fervent prayer. Her highest motivation and all-encompassing purpose is to honor and glorify the Father and find favor in his sight.
