We Believe...

… in one living and true God, creator and sustainer of all things infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Each member of the Holy Trinity possesses equally all the attributes of deity and the characteristics of personality.  John 14:25

… that mankind was created by God, in His image, but fell into sin. As a consequence of that fall, all mankind are sinners and under condemnation.  Genesis 1:26; Genesis 3

... the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God; the complete and final revelation of the will of God to man, the basis of Christian unity and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds and beliefs should be tested. 2 Timothy 3:16, 17; 2 Peter 1:20,21

… that Jesus was manifest in human flesh, the God-man, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, teaching and performing miracles. He was the Messiah promised by Old Testament prophets. He voluntarily died on the cross, by crucifixion, as an atoning sacrifice for out sins. He arose bodily from the grave on the third day and ascended to the right hand of the Father to become our High Priest and Advocate  Galatians 4:4-6; Hebrews 4:14,15

… that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only grounds for justification and salvation for those who believe. All who receive Jesus Christ are born of the Spirit and become the children of God.  John 14:6; Hebrews 7:25; Hebrews 9:11-14

… that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and to convict the world of sin. He indwells the repentant sinner the moment he/she invites Jesus Christ to save them and become the Lord or his/her life. He seals the individual at the moment of salvation. His role in the life of a believer is to guide, instruct and empower them to live a godly life of service. John 14:15-17; Ephesians 1:13, 14; Acts 1:4, 5

… that water baptism, preferably by immersion; of a believer in Christ and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be observed by the church. They are, however, not to be regarded as a condition for salvation. Failure to comply with these ordinances is, however, an indication of disobedience.             Acts 2:38; Colossians 2: 12, 1 Corinthians 11: 23-26

… that the church is a congregation of believers. We accept the great commission found in the Gospel of Matthew 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you, and surely, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

… that Jesus Christ is the head of His Church and every local church as the right, under its Head, to decide and govern its own affairs.  Colossians 1:17-20

… in the personal, pre-millennial and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that this “Blessed Hope” has a vital bearing on the personal conduct and service of the believer. 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-17;    Revelation 22: 12

… in the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting life and joy with the Lord; of the unbeliever to eternal judgment and punishment. 1 Corinthians 15: 12-19; Revelation 20: 15
